BirdNest Chair

The “chair” is carved from one piece of wood. It is from a Spruce tree in our backyard that was blown down in a storm. The previous year, it had a Crow's nest at the very top from which I watched a (big) Baby Crow take its first (sort of) flight....which was not very graceful as it bounced from one padded limb to another, buffering its fall to the ground. All was well though, as the parents called to the baby from the woods. Baby Crow followed the voices, and the family was reunited.

The Eggs are individual elements and are solidly attached to the nest.

Size: 33.25” x 12” x 12.5”

Medium: Spruce, oil stain, Egg: maple, gold wax, red clay, metallic powder,

Price: $7,500

There is a bronze BirdNest Chair that is available through Harbor Square Gallery.
